Are balance discs and balance rings used in every pump?
No. These components are used in pump designs that include an axial-thrust balancing arrangement, commonly in multistage or high-pressure pump applications.
Can RF Machining select the balancing design?
No. RF Machining manufactures according to customer drawings or samples. Final hydraulic and mechanical suitability depends on the customer's pump design.
Can hardfacing or heat treatment be included?
Drawing-defined Stellite 6 / ST6 welded hardfacing is reviewed for in-house feasibility. Component geometry and size, base material, overlay area, consumable grade, deposition route, machining allowance, finished overlay thickness, hardness and inspection method are confirmed for each RFQ and order. Specified Stellite grades or other cobalt-alloy hardfacing requirements, heat treatment, nitriding and grinding follow the agreed manufacturing route.
