Responsibility for complete-valve design, the pressure-retaining boundary, assembly, pressure testing, certification and valve performance remains with the valve manufacturer or design authority. Responsibility for complete-valve design, the pressure-retaining boundary, assembly, pressure testing, certification and valve performance remains with the valve manufacturer or design authority. Seat and seat-ring terminology is applied according to the component geometry and the customer's valve drawing.

Responsibility for complete-valve design, the pressure-retaining boundary, assembly, pressure testing, certification and valve performance remains with the valve manufacturer or design authority. Disc and plug terminology is applied according to the closure-member geometry identified by the customer drawing.
