Finished valve closure components
Custom Hardfaced Valve Discs & Plugs
Finished custom hardfaced valve disc with a machined working surface
The Alloy 825 base material and the Stellite 6/ST6 and Stellite 12/ST12 grades shown apply only to their matching verified examples.
RF Machining supplies drawing- or sample-based finished components, not complete valves. Responsibility for complete-valve design, the pressure-retaining boundary, assembly, pressure testing, certification and valve performance remains with the valve manufacturer or design authority. Disc and plug terminology is applied according to the closure-member geometry identified by the customer drawing.

Finished hardfaced valve discs and plugs
RF Machining reviews a disc or plug according to its drawing-defined closure-member geometry and marked working surface. Supply may start from a drawing, 3D model, sample or sample photos, but final production requirements must be confirmed. Applicable hardfacing routes are reviewed for each component and order. The route, filler/consumable grade, hardness, allowance, finished overlay thickness, dilution when applicable, finish machining and inspection are confirmed per drawing/RFQ/order.

Buyer FAQs
Can you supply finished hardfaced valve discs and plugs?
Yes. RF Machining supplies drawing- or sample-based finished components when the disc or plug geometry, base material, hardfaced area and final requirements are defined and accepted.
How do you distinguish a disc from a plug?
RF Machining follows the customer's drawing and closure-member geometry. The page does not use disc and plug as interchangeable names for every valve component.
Are Alloy 825 or the shown Stellite grades standard materials?
No. Alloy 825, Stellite 6/ST6 and Stellite 12/ST12 apply only to the matching verified gallery examples and order requirements. Other components follow their own RFQ-specified base material and overlay alloy.
Does Stellite describe every cobalt alloy?
No. Stellite is used only as an RFQ-specified trade-name family and is not a generic label for all cobalt alloys.
How is the disc or plug manufacturing route confirmed?
No universal hardfacing route is promised. Applicable hardfacing routes are reviewed for each component and order. The route, filler/consumable grade, hardness, allowance, finished overlay thickness, dilution when applicable, finish machining and inspection are confirmed per drawing/RFQ/order.
Does RF Machining take responsibility for the complete valve?
No. RF Machining supplies drawing- or sample-based finished components, not complete valves. Responsibility for complete-valve design, the pressure-retaining boundary, assembly, pressure testing, certification and valve performance remains with the valve manufacturer or design authority.
